Imformation about my netbook?

Having a netbook during the year is really fun because it makes writing and maths much easier. The thing that I really love about my netbook is that it gets me into higher levels in my learning which is maths,writing and reading too. One of my dislike is that I had to wait for a while to fix my netbook and now I am using a loaner.


Likes, what do I enjoy about my Netbook? That we don’t have to go on the Imacs.That we can use it for anything that we need to do if we don’t have a computer to use.It can save the best pictures that we love in our family sometimes.That I love to finish some work if I am not finish some tasks. That we don’t have to work on paper and pencil.I can work more and learn more and it makes my writing look neater than before.



Dislikes,There are many reasons why I do not like about my Netbook. That it always slows down when math whizz is loading sometimes. That I always want my netbook back because it has been a long time that I have not been using my netbook instead of a loaner computer along the year because I exadently dropped it when I was working with Mr.Barks. Sometimes it takes forever to load a page and then I click and click then all you see is 5 tabs of math whizz on my FireFox.

What happens if we go back to old boring paper and pencil? There are many reasons that I don’t want to work on paper and pencils. I don’t have to sharpen my pencil when it brakes, because I have a netbook. The hardest thing to handle is charging my battery sometimes and being careful with my netbook. But if I had to go back to my PAPER AND PENCILS Then I’ll have to write in my book forever for homework and for maths and that’s when my hand gets hurt by writing and I really do not want to go there anymore!.

My Best Holiday ever!

On a hot, sweating holiday my mum and I went to the pools. When we arrived to the pools we got into our togs,had a shower and headed to the pool.When we hoped into the pool it was like an ice cube! As we played and played in the pool my mum said “we have 5 minutes until we leave to go home.” “Ok” I said. As 5 minutes past we went home in our car as I drifted off to sleep.

The next day in the after noon it was 12:00pm. I heard a car that sounded a little familiar to me. When I walked to the door of my house I saw my best three cousins Aaron,Lilo, and Murphy. They were all from my dads side. The next morning my Nana made us coco rice. Coco rice is a Samoan chocolate soup with rice inside it. After we had our breakfast we rested our stomach and played with my Bop-it. Active we were in 20 minutes we got change really quick and went to the school Ropotaka. When we went to the school my brother Heke my cousins and I had a game called rugby. During our rugby we got to tired so we went back home and had a rest until Sunday.

On a bright Sunday morning it was the last day for my cousins. My cousins was so sad that they wanted to stay. At lunch my dad thought somewhere that we will be able to take them. I never knew were we are going?. Waiting and waiting that when I went pass my mum and dads room I heard someone said that we were going to town. As I was excited I thought that we were going in our car but were going in my aunties van. When we got to town we took lots of pictures doing handstands and doping the pukana to the camera and to each other. “Are we there yet” I shouted that I was really tired by walking to the car to town because it was packed. when we got there we saw these Ipads that we can play on and I was so amazed. Laughing and laughing in the car that we were talking about what was our favourite thing we did at town. when we got home I heard the same car and it was my cousins car. As I went out side I felt sad that they were going home so I said good bye I will see you next holidays.

The story behind the Samoan flag

On the Samoan flag, the 5 white stars represent the moonlight and the colours back in the past century’s. Also, the red colour stands for the land, and also son and blood. It also stand for the southern stars. The blue colour means Water and Hope.

How amazing for Samoa

Long live the Samoans! as we cheered for them. When the game started they sang the national anthem and guess what we did we sang it with them. During the game we saw Tusi Pisi got the ball so my dad and my brother did the Haka to cheer him on.”YAY” we all hugged each other that I started doing a conga line with the girls. When it was 27-7 for the Samoan team I closed my eye’s and I herd a voice from the TV that it’s Game over “YAY” as I lifted up my brother with a strong hug that I nearly broke him into peaces. Being proud that I have been smiling the whole day that I couldn't’t stop.Grrrr my friend mumbled as she thought that Fiji was better then Samoa.

The Movie Tangled script

“This is the story of how I died, but don’t worry this is actually a very fun story and the truth is its not even mine. This is a story of a girl named Rapunzel, and it starts with the sun. Now once upon a time a single drop of sun light fell from the heavens. And from this small drop of sun grew a magic golden flower, it had the ability to heal the sick and injured. Oh you see that old women over there you might wanna remember her she’s kind of important, well centres past and a hop, skip and a boat ride away, there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by a beloved King and Queen, and the Queen well she was about to have a baby but she got sick, really sick. She was running out of time and that's when people usually start to look for a miracle or in this case a magic golden flower.
Ah I told you she’ll be important, you see instead of sharing the sun’s gift this women, mother gothem horded its healing power and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years and all she had to do is sing a special song, “flower gleam and glow, let your power shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine what once was mine”.
“Alright you get the jest she sing to it she gets young creepy, right”?
“We found it”, the magic of the golden flower healed the Queen a healthy baby girl, a princess was born with beautiful golden hair (King gives a happy chuckle) (happy sounds of a baby) (Queen gives a happy squeak) I’ll give you a hint that’s Rapunzel to celebrate her birth the King and Queen launched a flying lantern into the sky and for that one moment everything was perfect........ (firework noise) and then that moment ended “flower gleam and glow, let your power shine, make the clock re (old lady gasps) (baby crying) gothem broken into the castle stole the child and just like that, GONE! The kingdom searched and searched but they could not find the princess for deep with in the forest in a hidden tower. Gothem raise the child as her own, “take what has been lost bring back what once was mine” Gothem had found her new magic flower, but this time she was determined to keep it hidden.
“Why can’t I go out side?”
“The outside world is a dangerous place, filled horrible self fish people, you must stay here where your safe do you understand flower”
“Yes mummy”
But the walls of that tower could not hide everything.......... each year on her birthday the King and Queen released thousands of lanterns in the sky. In hope that one day there lost princess would return............

Some evidence of my learning!

This is some of the evidence of my learning that I have been doing through out the term. On this picture you will see these two flowers. These flowers ain't ordinary flowers they are one of the native flowers in the US. The one on the bottom is a spring flower that comes out on Spring. The one on top is a rose. A rose is a red flower, you can use it for Valentines day or for Mothers day just for a gift!

Thank you Lynn and Harold!

For the last 5 weeks Room 18 has been learning with Harold and Lynn. Learning with Harold is just really fun. We have been learning about friends,food, and body parts. During our time with Lynn about friends I thought in my head what is so important about friends?. As we saw Harold we sang a song that he wanted us to sing with him.

Then we met this robot about our blood vessels then it told us to “go away” because he was to buzy. After we played with Harold and Lynn it was so funny that Harold could not have my friend Mary as his girlfriend!. Later when it was finished Mr. Barks said to us “what do we say to Lynn and Harold” and we shouted out loud “THANK YOU LYNN AND HAROLD”.

What I did from last Tuesday and the next day?

Last Tuesday it all started with a busy literacy before morning tea. Later when lunch was over we had maths. During maths we were learning about decimals and counting by 10Th,100Th, and 1000Th. After lunch we did some topic and finishing off our letters. Drawing some designs for my letter and I mean like a single letter like “A”. During my time I was still drawing my designs as I heard the bell rang for home time.

The next day at school we did literacy. During literacy we learnt all about Argentina.After morning tea we had maths. Our rotations for maths was Black dog/grid maths, Teacher, and Math Whizz. later when lunch was over we had topic. "Bring" the bell rang as we I went home!.

All about the Canada flag by how it looks

On the flag you will see a Maple leaf. They choose the maple leaf because that was the only kind of leaf where you will see in Canada. The colours represents white is peace and honesty. Red is Hardness,bravery,strength and valour. The official Canadian colours were proclaimed by King George V.

This is a certificate that I achieved by practicing and practicing. I did this so when I have to type I will not have to look down to my keyboard. The website is called FreeTypingGame.net it is really fun to play on.

Trying to achieve my goal

This paragraph is all about me trying to achieve my goals. What my goal. is to achieve is my writing,reading and maths. My first task is my writing. Writing is tricky to me sometimes but when it comes to paragraph it’s just extra tricky but in my mine it just tells me to keep moving forward. My second task to complete is my reading.Reading is a little bit of hardness in it but the most easy one’s are the questions. Questions is sometimes easy and sometimes hard but when it comes to me it is tricky. The lucky last to complete is my maths. Sometimes I don’t get maths but what my mind says is keep moving forward. The only one I’m confuse with is my Multiplication. Multiplication is always confusing because it sounds like adding but it is just adding the same number but that how I will try to achieve my goal.

My interesting Tuesday

Two weeks ago on Tuesday we did some mysterious literacy. During literacy I liked it when we needed to make a Qr on our writing before morning tea. After morning tea we had maths, we went on Whizz before our visitors came. Then after lunch we had topic, I was on the computer copying my signs off my P.M.I.paper. Suddenly I hear a loud roar from the home bell.

The next day we did some more interesting rotation literacy.Looking forward to literacy I decided to write down some sentences that will hook the audience to that story.After lunch we did extra more work for maths because our work was shocking hard.Then later after lunch we had topic again but this time is different.During this topic for signs we get to go and animate our signs.”ROAR” like a lion’s voice that it was from the bell as I ended running home.

On my last day of our signs we did some extra literacy with them. Lurking threw literacy looking for things to do as I saw my group at the teachers table.After my play time and my big munch we had maths. Maths really hard to find what do as we all went on whizz.Then later after lunch it was topic time. Topic time is when we finish and give our p.m.i to Mr. Barks.”BRING” as the rang as I sprinted to the door with my bag.

The Hilarious Movie

A few weeks ago room 18 were making a movie. We were using masks.The masks had famous people on them it had Justin Bieber,Rihana,Beyonce,Tio Cruz and Bruno Mars.When we first made the masks we got different people to cut out.It was so hilarious. Later that day we started the movie. We had to sing and act. Once we were all looked so nervous. What I liked about the movie is that the transition was so emotional.The other thing that I liked was the song it was very a peaceful song. Some how the most thing that I liked was the people that were making mistakes, because they were so humorous. They sometimes forget they're script it was likely we were on television. The bit that I like was when the ripple came up. When we started making it the things that I dislike with it was the speed.The other thing is that I really don’t like is some of the bit of the transition.Then we did some quit time so the person that’s talking can let our audience hear them.But the last thing that didn't work was the shots it was only a little of it.What we did was finishing of our movie with the song Eye of the tiger. We did it in the corner of our class room with some kids wearing our masks.”Bring” !!! as the bell rang like a lion’s roar as everyone said “ooowwwhhh” but Mr Barks reply we could do it tomorrow.

My Adventure Holidays

In the beginning of my interesting school holidays I went on a adventure to a holiday program.When I first arrived it looked exciting to me.What it sound like is having a joyful laugh.What it feels like is happiness.At the holiday program we got into 4 separate groups. In these 4 groups we have names for these 4 groups they are show stopper’s,Price-tag,team 3 and Bazookas.When the men-tours told us this game dodge ball it felt like chasing a monkey. After we have our free time we stop at 1 o’clock to have our lunch, lunch was sausage sizzle with sauce on top. Later on after we had our lunch we had zumba it was so cool. Sooner we finished off with a prey “hooray for me!” I shouted with my loudest voice, as soon me and my dad went home.Was I having a exciting time? you bet I had.
